It’s been awhile since I last wrote on my blog. I guess it’s because of the graduation stuff, I have a couple of exams left, then I’ll be somehow free. Free to write, draw, take pictures at random things… Just my usual.
Now I know you’re wondering: why the heck is she writing in Italian AND English at the same time? I’m going to try to explain this but it won’t be easy. The fact is that I enjoy writing in English, I really do. I could easily make up some stylish lies about how this will let non-Italian people read my posts, but as I said they’d be lies. Come on, I don’t really need the whole world to know the rubbish that comes out from my keyboard! We all know it’s rubbish without such a planetary consecration.
I like English better than Italian, that’s it. At the point that sometimes I find it easier to think in English than my mother tongue. It’s a bit mad, probably, but hey, that’s me.
I should probably add that I came out with the crazy project of moving abroad after the degree and this should lead to exercising and improving my knowledge of the language. At least I hope so. It would be awkward to acknowledge in a month or two that I’m worsening the situation instead (that wouldn’t surprise me though).
I could also technically say that this way I can show the whole world that Italian politics is shitty and Berlusconi sucks, but that would be going too far. The whole world probably knows it far more than I could possibly describe it. It would be an utter waste of time. Besides, I get the feeling that I’ll have plenty of occasions to touch the subject in the future.
Enough, I’ve already said too much. More than I expected anyhow. This is my first bilingual post and I probably made a lot of mistakes in both versions. But I promise next time I will make it interesting, very interesting. This was just an introduction, as you may have noticed.

È passato un po’ di tempo da quando ho scritto sul blog per l’ultima volta. Suppongo sia a causa della laurea, ho ancora un paio di esami da dare e poi sarò più o meno libera. Libera di scrivere, disegnare, fotografare le cose a caso… il mio solito.
Ora so che vi starete chiedendo: perché cavolo sta scrivendo in italiano E in inglese? Proverò a spiegarvelo ma non è poi così semplice. Il fatto è che mi piace scrivere in inglese, davvero. Potrei facilmente imbastire qualche bugia figa su come questo mi permetterà di far leggere quello che scrivo ai lettori non italiani, ma come ho detto sarebbero bugie. Dai, non ho mica bisogno di far conoscere al mondo intero le cazzate che escono dalla mia tastiera! Sappiamo tutti che lo sono, senza bisogno di una consacrazione mondiale.
Preferisco l’inglese all’italiano, tutto qui. Al punto che a volte trovo più facile pensare in inglese che nella mia madre lingua. È un po’ folle come cosa, ma da me ci si può aspettare questo ed altro.
Dovrei aggiungere forse che me ne sono uscita con il folle progetto di trasferirmi all’estero dopo la laurea e questo dovrebbe portarmi ad esercitarmi e migliorare il mio inglese. O almeno spero. Sarebbe imbarazzante ritrovarmi peggiorata fra un paio di mesi (anche se non mi stupirebbe, conoscendomi).
Tecnicamente potrei dire che in questo modo posso mostrare al mondo intero quando Berlusconi e la politica italiana facciano schifo, ma sarebbe troppo. Il mondo intero probabilmente lo sa meglio di quanto io possa mai arrivare a descriverlo. Sarebbe un’enorme perdita di tempo, e poi ho la netta impressione che avrò molte occasioni di toccare la questione in futuro.
Basta, ho già detto fin troppo. Più di quello che mi aspettassi, comunque. Questo è il mio primo post bilingue e ho probabilmente già fatto abbastanza errori in entrambe le versioni. La prossima volta, prometto di scrivere cose più interessanti. Se non ve ne foste accorti questa era solo l’introduzione.
